Original early Chrysler 331 cubic inch FirePower Hemi V8 engine.
Block casting number: 1323329-2
Cylinder head casting numbers: 1323333-2
Casting numbers identify this as an early 1951-1953 Chrysler 331 Hemi with the extended-bellhousing block.
Engine includes the block, crank/rotating assembly, oil pan, both Hemi cylinder heads, rocker shafts/rocker assemblies and related components shown in the photos.
This is being sold as a rebuildable core/project engine. It has been stored for a long period and has surface rust/corrosion on the exposed valvetrain and other components. Internal condition is unknown. It has not been disassembled or inspected for cracks, cylinder condition, bearing condition, etc.
Intake manifold, carburetor, valve covers, exhaust manifolds and accessories are not included.
This would make a great period-correct engine for a traditional hot rod, rat rod, custom, vintage race project or early Mopar restoration.
These early Chrysler FirePower Hemis have the classic hemispherical combustion chamber design that preceded the later 426 Hemi.
Please review all photos carefully. Sold as pictured and as a rebuildable core.
